PROGRAMS DEFINED
It has been proven, time and time again, that a finite time line in which to focus on results helps promote motivation. At Clay Fitness + Nutrition we believe that popping in and out of random classes doesn’t give people the support to be accountable. Attending random classes in a traditional gym setting never allows for a strong relationship between coach and client/athlete. We use the term “program” to describe that someone has committed to a class or classes for the entire “season”. The Winter 2012 season classes begin on January 2 and last 13 weeks. Within each program, participants benchmark their starting points, in weight, body composition, strength and endurance. When you enroll in a program, your coach/trainer helps you create and alter your homework routine during the entire program so that the results you are looking for are imminent. The group serves as a further motivator and a sense of community. Your coach knows you, what you are capable of, and what your goals are. Programs are a good way to get the benefit of personal training without the high cost.

If you must miss a class, you will be able to make up ANY class that you miss and can do that easily with our online scheduling system (for program people only). With a couple of clicks, you can pull yourself out of a class, and enroll in another. Your online account will keep track of your make ups.

WHAT IF I CAN’T COMMIT TO A SPECIFIC DAY AND TIME FOR THE SEASON?
While we know that programs work for our clients, we realize that sometimes life and work get in the way of being able to commit to a specific day and time for several weeks. For those who have schedules that change, we offer a punch card system which allows people to buy a series of credits towards classes (13 for the fall session since it’s 13 weeks). Each time you want to attend a class, you can send a quick note to us requesting a spot in a class. Within a couple of hours, you will receive a confirmation that you have a spot or a note letting you know the class is full. When you come to class that day, your attendance card will be at the front desk, and will be punched at the beginning of class time. When you use up your 13 classes punch card, you can buy another, but you must use your remaining class credits within the current program. Punch card clients do not get assessments at the beginning or end of a program.

Pros and Cons of Programs vs. Punch card classes
Program classes are less expensive/class, require more commitment from you (in attendance consistency), and allow for more development of camaraderie with other class participants. Program classes also allow you to get a baseline for where you begin through assessment as well as clearly see progress at the end of the program with a final assessment. Punch card classes are more expensive/class, but allow for more flexibility of schedule. There are few occasions when classes may be full when you request a spot.

Weekly schedule

We strongly encourage people to drop in to a class that they are interested in before signing up for a series of classes/program. Please contact Hyam to let her know that you plan to attend a class as a trial.

In order to participate in classes or personal training, you must print, sign and return this waiver.

Cancellation Policy:
Our 24 hour policy for classes requires clients to early cancel themselves using their MindBody account at least 24 hours ahead of class time to receive credit toward a make-up class. Classes canceled within 24 hrs of class time are considered a ‘late cancel’ and will not be eligible for a corresponding make-up class. Thank you.
